Symptoms — Characteristics of Cogan's syndrome which are considered "classic" symptoms by the Network and medical field :

  • Rapid onset of hearing loss
    • One ear or both
    • instantly
    • overnight
    • during the day.
  • With or without eye inflammation
    • One eye or both
  • Vertigo, Dizziness, nausea, can't stand up, need something to hold onto.
  • No balance or severe gait, walking as if drunk.
  • Tinnitus, constant bells, ringing, variations of hums, like a generator.
